Becca parkinson, LCSW

“What I love about my collective work experience is helping individuals and families build connection & resilience through therapy and group work. My greatest desire is to help a person find hope and deepen the connections in their lives. Brene Brown states that “connection is why we’re here.” It is “the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” To me, that is what therapy is all about.”

Becca received her master’s in social work at the University of Utah. Before coming to Grandview, she worked with all ages and behavior levels in the local school district and with youth and teens in crisis through intensive outpatient programs.  She has also worked extensively with parents, families, and couples to improve relationships and restore connections. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, suicide ideation, LGBTQ+, and life transitions. She uses a variety of evidence-based treatment methods including EMDR, EFT, IFS, Trauma- Focused CBT, Polyvagal, DBT, and Gottman for Couples.
