Brent Brague, MSW - Intern
Brent Brague, msw - intern
Born into a large, energetic family in Southern California, Brent grew up immersed in sports, community, and connection. A lifelong enthusiast of athletics, coaching, and teamwork, he learned early the value of resilience, discipline, and trust—qualities that continue to guide his work as a therapist today.
Brent holds a background in psychology, coaching, and clinical social work. His journey to therapy began after years in corporate leadership and entrepreneurship, where he built his own marketing company and consulted for startups. A turning point came when he began volunteering at the Rape Recovery Center, where he supported survivors of assault as part of the Mobile Response Team. This experience inspired him to pursue a Master’s in Social Work and dedicate himself to clinical practice.
Brent has served in a variety of therapeutic roles, including as a therapist-in-training at Grandview Family Counseling Center, a volunteer, manager, and director of the Mobile Response Team at the Rape Recovery Center, and as a coach for athletes and youth in both clinical and community settings. Currently, he continues his clinical work while serving on the boards of the Family Support Center and Heeals United, a nonprofit offering equine-assisted therapy.
Known for his approachable, down-to-earth style, Brent connects quickly with clients—especially those who may feel anxious, resistant, or in crisis. Parents and families appreciate his clear communication, professionalism, and ability to build trust quickly. Above all, Brent is committed to creating safe, empowering spaces where people feel seen, heard, and understood as they navigate meaningful change.
“A ship is always safe in the harbor, but that is not why it was built.”
