Jericho Pineda, LCSW

I work with individuals of all ages, but my focus is working with children and teens.

I believe our best chance to make it as adults begins with having the best chance to make it as kids. I strive to meet each client with compassion, empathy, and understanding. Generally, I allow clients, especially children, to lead sessions. However, once we have established a trusting relationship, I am known to push and challenge clients because there is no growth in comfort and no comfort in growth.

One of my favorite things to hear is a client saying,“I didn’t know I could… now that I can… I don’t think I need to see you anymore.”

After a couple years of ignoring my grandmother’s advice to study social work; I finally took it. My only regret is not taking it sooner. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Weber State University in 2018 and went on to earn a Master’s of Social Work from WallaWalla University in 2020.

I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2023. In addition to my outpatient experience, I’ve had experience working with client’s in a variety of settings including inpatient behavioral health (short term crisis), juvenile detention, and youth homeless shelters.

I joined Grandview Family Counseling in 2022. When not working, I enjoy running (I ran for 3 years from getting his picture taken and writing this bio for the website), walking, Playing (Table top games, video games, and LEGO), fixing my truck (because mechanics’ hourly rates are more than ours), doing nothing in a hammock, and trapshooting. Right now, I’m trying to figure out how to fit all of that in around being a husband and a girl dad.
