John completed a Master’s in Psychology in 2011 and a Master’s in Social Work in 2017. He
received his LCSW in 2021. He has worked as an adjunct professor, teaching university courses
in psychology, and as a therapist providing in-home, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and
group services for children, teens, adults, and couples.
With clients, John focuses on two things: identifying barriers to a life worth living, and
evidence-based interventions to overcome those barriers. The goal of therapy is for clients to
experience more of their intended life.
John has developed expertise in mental health assessment and treatment, including Exposure
and Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Behavioral Activation, and Meaning-
making Coping. He is particularly interested in working with anyone who is experiencing:
